The Translational Research Initiatives in Pathology (TRIP) Lab offers resources to pathology faculty
and trainees for translational and collaborative research projects; and partners with the UW Carbone
Cancer Center's BioBank as part of their
Translational
Science BioCore (TSB). In addition, the laboratory
offers services such as tissue arrays, laser dissection microscopy and IHC on a fee for service basis.
Mission:
The mission of the TRIP Lab is to provide quality services in cellular, molecular and quantitative
pathology for members of the Department of Pathology, the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer
Center, the Medical Center and the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus.
The specific goals of the TRIP Lab include:
- Facilitate translational research focusing on the pathologic basis of human diseases.
- Provide state of the art services for users of the laboratory.
- Become the regional center of excellence for molecular testing in human diseases and in
quantitative pathology
