The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers 12-month fellowships on a competitive basis for medical students who have satisfactorily completed their second or third year studies. The training consists of hospital service and research. The service component will consist of three months each of autopsy pathology, surgical pathology, laboratory medicine, and research/elective. The research component will be conducted in pathology laboratories but, in special instances, may be pursued in research laboratories in other departments on campus.

Requirements: Satisfactory completion of second or third year of medical school.
Stipends: Fellows are paid a stipend of $15,500 annually, and a $500 book allowance. Travel is paid for presentation of research work at one meeting.
Applications:

Two letters of reference and medical school transcript are required. Application deadline is January 31, 2006.
