To access the Electron Microscopy Lab:   Microtome
 
  1.  Contact Dr. Sattler via phone or email to discuss protocols for processing your samples. All such feasibility consults are free of charge.

  2.  Fill out User Information Form.  This form includes PI, user, billing and grant information. Valid billing information must be provided before any samples can be processed.
 
  3.  Fixation may be done in user’s laboratory provided sample can be fixed with paraformaldehyde or glutaraldehyde. Post fixation must be done in the EM Facility by Dr. Sattler or a trained specialist, graduate student or postdoctoral fellow.
 
  4.  The laboratory will extend it’s normal operating hours at no extra charge to accommodate fixations that take longer than 8 hours.
 
  5.  Dr. Sattler will train a student, specialist, or post doc at her hourly fee. Once a person is trained as a qualified hands-on user, billing costs may be reduced. The training program will be strictly enforced. All users MUST be trained by Dr. Sattler.
