Preliminary setup study charges
Initial set-up of a study is charged at a flat-rate of $750.
Researchers should provide Dr. Sattler with a literature search of results of studies similar to the one they propose to conduct using EM. Dr. Sattler will develop an EM protocol from the literature search provided to accomplish the PI’s EM research goals. The charge for the initial set-up of a study includes one fixation, sectioning, staining, EM scope time and a limited number of micrographs. After preliminary set-up (typically less than one month in duration), micrographs provided by Dr. Sattler will be charged at the hourly rate listed below.

Optional Lab User Training
If a lab is willing to pay to have a person trained by Dr. Sattler, they may be able to save on charges.
All training is one on one at Dr. Sattler’s hourly fee. The length of training time is dependent on each person’s previous EM experience. Dr. Sattler must certify a user as appropriately trained prior to the following fee schedule applying.
A potential user can be trained in all or some of the skills listed below.
Dr. Sattler will charge her normal hourly rate for work other than that performed by the trained user on that instrument.
