The Translational Research Initiatives in Pathology (TRIP) Lab provides support to pathology faculty and trainees working on translational and collaborative research projects; and partners with the UW Carbone Cancer Center’s Biobank as part of their Translational Science BioCore (TSB). In addition, the laboratory offers high-quality histological, molecular/morphometric analyses and consultative services such as tissue arrays, laser dissection microscopy, quantitative morphometric analyses via imaging, and IHC/ISH on a fee for service basis available to the campus community and beyond.

Announcement: Service Request Changes

We are excited to inform you that starting on February 1st, 2018, TRIP will be using iLab Core Facility Management software - an online system to streamline the process of ordering and billing for core service requests and reservations. For instructions on how to create an iLab account and place service request with iLab go to If you have any problem placing a TRIP service request through iLab, contact us at
